*What’s Charwood?
Charwood are not briquetts but hardwood charcoal. Since commercial briquettes may contain furniture scraps and petroleum extracts, many chefs prefer all-natural charwood – jagged black chunks of kiln-fired, virgin maple roundwood that burn cleaner and hotter than any briquette. If you have never grilled with hardwood charwood, your tastebuds are in for a real treat. Charwood smokes more and seasons the meat better than propane so the taste is great, if not less filling.
